Andreas has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, with a broad technical understanding, particularly in the transportation and distribution of petroleum products within the oil and gas sectors. As a Project Manager, he has an extensive track record of leading projects from the early planning stages through execution, including the planning and construction of the Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline from Kazakhstan to China. He is also experienced in large-scale master planning, such as the Uzbekistan Gas Development Master Plan for the Asian Development Bank.
He has a solid understanding of CAPEX/OPEX modeling and project finance, having worked with international banks and multilateral finance institutions. Andreas has served as an advisor on grid expansion projects for organizations and ministries, including the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs of Germany, and is well-versed in technical standards for handling green molecules. He has managed green molecular transport studies covering pipeline, railway, and maritime transport for hydrogen and ammonia from Central Asia, Africa, and Canada to Europe for private-sector clients and governmental institutions.
In addition to his engineering career, Andreas has worked as a scientist and professor, led R&D teams, held various corporate board-level positions, and served as managing director of a consulting firm for over 10 years.
